High functioning does not always mean thriving.
Collaborative, evidence-based therapy for executives, entrepreneurs, and people in tech navigating anxiety, sustained pressure, and the interpersonal demands of a full life.
Being competent doesn’t mean going it alone.
You may be capable, insightful, and accustomed to solving difficult problems—yet still find yourself caught in worry, overthinking, tension, avoidance, or relationship patterns that are harder to shift alone. Therapy offers a confidential space to understand what is happening, build skills that fit your life, and make changes that extend beyond the session.
What may bring you to therapy
-
Anxiety and overthinking
Reduce the mental loops, anticipatory worry, and perfectionism that make it difficult to be present.
-
High-stress environments
Develop more effective ways to regulate pressure, recover from intensity, and respond deliberately when the stakes feel high.
-
Interpersonal effectiveness
Communicate more clearly, set boundaries, navigate conflict, and understand the patterns shaping important relationships.
-
Work and life integration
Create a more sustainable relationship with ambition, responsibility, rest, and the parts of life that exist beyond work.
-
Transitions and identity
Make sense of your values, relationships, priorities, or sense of self without defaulting to old expectations.
-
Releasing the past
Understand and integrate difficult experiences or traumas when they continue to influence present reactions or relationships.
Therapeutic Approach
My style is active, collaborative, and transparent, drawing primarily from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness traditions. We will work together to understand the patterns maintaining the problem, identify what is within your influence, and practice ways of responding that are more flexible and aligned with what matters to you.
Depending on your needs, our work may involve examining habitual thoughts and behaviors, building emotional and interpersonal skills, increasing tolerance for difficult internal experiences, and taking purposeful action even when discomfort is present.
This style of therapy tends to work best for intellectually minded, high-functioning adults who appreciate both reflection and practical application. You do not need to arrive with perfect insight or a fully formed goal. You do need some willingness to be curious, try new approaches, and participate in the work within and between sessions.

It may include assessment, diagnosis when appropriate, and treatment within a clinical relationship. Therapy can only be offered to clients living in states where the clinician is licensed to provide services.
Coaching
Coaching is a professional development service focused on goals, leadership effectiveness, career growth, and performance. It is not a healthcare service, and is not intended to diagnose or treat a mental health condition. Dr. Parker does not offer coaching and therapy as concurrent services.
